A chaotic sequence of events unfolded in south Vancouver Island Friday morning (March 22), resulting in the arrest of two individuals following a crash, an assault and the discovery of an explosive device.

Sooke RCMP responded to reports of a single-vehicle crash at the junction of East Sooke Road and Yates Road in Beecher Bay. Upon arrival, officers found an injured woman who is believed to have been the occupant of the vehicle.
