He grew up in Surrey as a Canucks fan, and tonight Arshdeep Bains will wear the team’s jersey for real in a NHL game.

The rookie forward will make his Canucks debut Tuesday (Feb. 20) in Colorado during a 6 p.m. game against the host Avalanche, the team announced.

Late last week Bains was called up by the Canucks from their AHL affililate, Abbotsford Canucks, where he’s starred in recent months and earned MVP honours during the league’s all-star game earlier this month.
