City green spaces to undergo herbicide application

UPDATE: Spraying is held until home owners are properly notified. Also, no spraying in Ridgemont.

May 30 update: The spraying has been put on hold until adjacent home owners are properly notified as stated in the city bylaws. Also, there will be no spraying in the Ridgemont area.

In a committee of a whole meeting on May 15, the City of Fernie approved a one-time exemption to the Pesticide Use Control Bylaw No. 2093, to allow for the application of herbicide in some city-owned spaces.
