Fernie’s proposed 2024 tax levy increase is 6.1 per cent following decisions by city council and administration officials during budget meetings in February.
The budget has not be finalized yet, and council will bring it forward for another round of discussion in March to review the numbers and consider public feedback. It will go through three different readings prior to adoption on April 16.
