The District of Sparwood has proposed a tax levy increase of 8.5 per cent after deliberations that started last fall.

This is one step of many in the annual budgetary process and numbers will be revisited by council multiple times over the next month, with a final decision made in mid April. As such, the tax levy may be subject to change before the final presentation date.
