The physical education program at Elkford Secondary School includes place based learning. Place based learning allows students to explore active living opportunities available right in the community. This gives them the change to be active not just in the school gymnasium but all over the community.

With these varied activities, adventures and experiences, students are able to test their grit, resilience, decision making and courage; as well as develop their physical strength and knowledge of local healthy living activities.
