Often negatively coined as the “quiet” or “shoulder season,” the month of September (and October too for that matter) has been fighting back against its bad reputation.
September brings fall colours, warm days, and clear, brisk evenings. Not to mention the seemingly endless blue skies, low-season rates and fewer crowds. And if you ask the locals — the hiking and mountain biking trails are on point.
So maybe we shouldn’t have given away the secret, but if you haven’t experienced fall in the Rockies, you are missing out!

Help give thanks to the end of another wonderful summer season and fall harvest.

Second: Grilled kale salad, honeyed carrot crisps, oka cheese
Third: ‘Two-way turkey’ sage roasted breast, confit leg, sweet potato gratin
Fourth: Chocolate souffle, poached pear
The four-course wine pairing will feature the Island Lake Lodge private label 3 Bears wines and also highlight Naramata’s La Frenz Winery
Adults $99 (including four wine pairings), children $39 (under 12)
Why drive home after filling yourself with such delicious food? Stay the night for just $129 per room (plus tax and based on double occupancy).
This very special dinner and final evening of the season will take place on Sunday, Oct. 8.
