Fernie businesses represented at BC Chamber AGM

A board member from the Fernie Chamber of Commerce represented Fernie and the business community at the BC Chamber AGM last weekend.

Dave Hamilton, who is also Publisher of The Free Press, attended the meeting in Penticton and said he was very impressed with how well the BC Chamber is working on behalf of all B.C. business communities.

Over the weekend, the group worked on more than 40 policies for the BC Chamber, including enhancing BC’s export capacity, ‘The Border Pact’, beyond the Border action plan and BC’s carbon tax and five of those policies were presented to the Canadian Chamber for them to act as lobbyists at a federal level (including post secondary education and the need for national coordination.)
