The Fernie Legion gave out more than pork chops and chicken at their last meat draw of 2023. Proceeds from the weekly meet draw allowed Branch president Jennifer Cronin to present donations to Days for Girls, Twin Meadows Animal Rescue, Fernie Dolphins Swim Club, Uplift and the Fernie Ghostriders, all groups who have given their time to support the weekly event by selling tickets and handing out the prizes throughout the year.
