The Fernie Minor Hockey has won $25,000 from the Kruger Big Assist program and is eligible for an additional $75,000 pending the results of another round of voting.

Fernie Minor Hockey is one of five regional winners in Canada. The Kruger program’s aim is to give kids more access to hockey by subsidizing player enrolment fees for those in need.

“We’re celebrating our five Kruger Big Assist regional winners who are all doing incredible work in their communities to make the game of hockey more accessible and inclusive for all Canadians,” said Susan Irving, CMO of Kruger Products.
