May 25, 1960 - March 25, 2024
In loving memory ~
With profound shock and sadness, we announce the sudden death of Gail Karen Rhinas. Gail passed away in the early morning hours of March 25, 2024, just two months shy of her 64th birthday.
Gail was born in Yorkton, SK on May 25, 1960, to Herman and Dorothy Rhinas. She was a mother to three boys: Rob, Wesley, and Tyler.
She left the prairies in 2005 and settled in Fernie, BC where she enjoyed puzzles, family get-togethers, time with her grandchildren, pampering herself with a manicure, and many, many road trips with Lynda to Cranbrook, Lethbridge, Calgary and Kalispell. Memorable vacations included a girl's trip to Vegas for her 50th birthday and Cuba with family and friends in 2016. Plans were already in the works for another holiday for her 65th next year.
A proud grandmother, Gail eagerly shared pictures and stories of her grandchildren. As a trusted and devoted friend, she never hesitated to help anyone in need, in any way she could. She supported without judgment.
Gail lived a simple, uncomplicated life and along the way touched many lives with her quiet, unassuming nature. Her legacy will live on forever within the hearts of all who loved her.
Gail is survived by her children: Rob (Casey) Rhinas, Wesley Rhinas (Jessica Jowsey), and Tyler Rhinas (Demeeka Abrahamsen); grandchildren Kip, Rhett, Dorthy, Ember, Isabella, Alexander, McKenna, Savannah, Isaiah, and Aaliyah, and brother Dwayne (Susanne) Rhinas and family. She will also be dearly missed by special cousins Lynda (John) Gawryluk and Cora Snoeks with whom she shared a very close relationship.
Gail was predeceased by her parents, and her brother Brent.
