George “Norman” Crossfield of Red Deer passed away surrounded by his family at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Friday, September 3, 2010, at the age of 80 years.
Norman is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lenore of Red Deer; daughter, Pam (Pat) Harrison of Fernie, BC; son, Bill Crossfield of Red Deer, AB; son, Jim (Julie) Crossfield of Red Deer, AB as well as daughter, Anne (Brent) Klepper of Red Deer, AB. Norman also leaves to cherish his memory seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren: Patrick (Dawn) Harrison and their children Brooklynne and Morgan; Danielle (Brent) Harrison; Amanda (Kerry) Gates and their children Addison and Graydon; Greg Crossfield; Erica Crossfield; Alexandra Klepper; Ty Klepper. Also remembering Norman are his brothers, Dick Gregg of Fernie, BC and Jim Gregg of Kimberley, BC as well as many nieces and nephews.
Norman was predeceased by his parents, Agnes and William; sister, Trudy; brother, Bill and by an infant son, John.
A Funeral Mass was held at ST. MARY’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 6 McMillan Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, on Thursday, September 9, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with luncheon following Mass at St. Mary’s Hall. Interment will follow on a later date in Fernie, BC.
