On Saturday, April 30, a group of senior competitors from the Fernie Judo Club made their way to Salmo, B.C. to participate in the Kootenay Klassic Judo Tournament.
This small but intense competition brought together fighters from the Okanagan and West and East Kootenays as well as Washington state.
Although competing as a small club, the Fernie squad was able to make their presence felt, with two of the five competitors bringing home medals.
