SURREY — As of this morning, B.C. RCMP say 300 additional officers from around the province have been sent to help with wildfires in the interior.
Another 40 RCMP personnel from Alberta have been called in.
B.C. RCMP held a press conference Tuesday morning to update the public on their efforts in the situation.
RCMP are doing 24-hour-a-day patrols in affected regions and there will be “no tolerance for criminal activities” in evacuation zones, said Deputy Commissioner Brenda Butterworth-Carr, the Commanding Officer of B.C.
