Man shoots rifle in residential area

On the evening of September 1st, Elk Valley RCMP attended to a report of a Fernie resident who had discharged two shots from a firearm in a residential area.

On the evening of September 1st, Elk Valley RCMP attended to a report of a Fernie resident who had discharged two shots from a firearm in a residential area. After police arrived a third shot was fired after the individual had retreated back inside his home. Elk Valley RCMP along with the Police Service Dog Team from Cranbrook immediately contained the area and evacuated neighbours from their homes.
