New signage at Montane trailhead designed by Sparwood students

Media design students from Sparwood Secondary School made trail signs out of wood

Students from Sparwood Secondary School are helping trail-users in the Elk Valley find their way with the creation of hand-made directional signage.

Grade 10, 11 and 12 students in Mr. Stephen Larsen’s media design class have been hard at work building custom wooden placards. Recently, they made signs for the new parking lot at the Montane trailhead to show visitors where to park their vehicles and direct them to the barn.
