Patricia Evelyn Katherine 'Peachie' Key

March 12, 1936 - August 28, 2021
Peachie passed away peacefully with Ardith by her side, at Penticton Regional Hospital on August 28, 2021.
Peachie was born in Bellevue, Alta. and grew up in Creston and the Kootenays before moving to Penticton, where she lived for many years. Peachie was even the Queen of the Apple Blossom Festival in Creston!
Peachie loved life and filled any room she entered, as she called everyone 'Dear Heart'.
She played several instruments and loved costumes, pranks and good-natured fun. There was never a prank that was too much work to pull off.
She travelled throughout Canada and USA in her RV. She rode her bike, complete with her puppy dog in the basket and planned more parties than you could count.
Peachie was a Rec-Spec (Recreation Specialist) in the RCAF and served overseas in Germany. She loved her time in the Air Force and faithfully kept in contact with her Air Force buddies. Peachie also had a distinguished career with the Government of Canada.
Peachie loved deeply. She loved her partner Ardith and loved her family, her neighbours and friends and, of course, her dogs.
Peachie is survived by her partner Ardith Martin, sister Ardell (Karl) Johansen, her niece's husband Ray Le Moigne, and Ardith's brothers and her sister, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Edith and Gordon Key, her sisters Margarite Kaiser, Mary Cummings, and her nieces Braidy Ludware, Penny Ludware, Lorrie Kaiser and Cindy Le Moigne.
In lieu of flowers, donations to SPCA or a charity of your choice, in Peachie Key's name, would be greatly appreciated.
Celebration of Life is at 2 pm, Sept. 10, 2021 at Everden Rust Funeral Services, Penticton.
Due to Covid restrictions, space is limited to 50 and masks are required.
