Snow pros and western riders turned heads at Fernie’s first-ever skijoring event on Feb. 17 at the Lions Club Derby Grounds.
Skiers and boarders cut tight corners and launched themselves off jumps as they held tight to a rope tied to a speeding horse. Some teams made a clean break to the finish line, while others wiped out in a fantastic flurry of powder.
