Island Lake Resort is renowned for its premier snowcat skiing through 7,000 acres of pristine wilderness but there’s so much more to explore – with no skis required!
Located right in Fernie’s backyard, the resort encourages area residents and guests to enjoy a Winter Snowcat Ride & Lunch on the mountain.
“We’re just 14 kilometres from Fernie but it really feels like you’re deep in the wilderness,” says Mike McPhee, the resort’s director of sales and marketing. “It’s a really easy way to come up and enjoy a delicious lunch in the lodge and maybe a little snowshoeing, then relax in the spa.”
