Sharon was born in the Regina Hospital in 1945 to parents Margaret and Alex McConaghie of Ridgedale, SK. She received her education at Henderson School and the University of Saskatchewan.
Sharon met her husband Albert Waldner and they married on August 6, 1966 in Ridgedale. She taught for two years in Saskatchewan until the family moved to Elkford, BC in 1972, where they spent the next 30 years.
After Albert retired, they moved to Creston, BC. Sharon and Albert travelled extensively in their motorhome and she enjoyed reading, gambling, and talking to family and friends.
She is predeceased by her parents Alex and Margaret McConaghie, her husband Albert, and her brothers Bill and Ken.
Sharon is survived by her two sons Derek and Jeffrey of Calgary, and her four grandchildren; Yuliana, Annette, Jeff Jr. and Catalina.
