Sold: Chilliwack’s iconic pink car auctioned off for $9,250

Amount will be doubled by auction company for donation to Chilliwack Salvation Army

Chilliwack’s iconic pink car has a new owner.

The 1973 Plymouth Gold Duster that was a beacon along the highway west of town for decades was auctioned off Thursday morning (April 4) for $9,250. That amount will be matched by Beekman Auctions, and the total of $18,500 will be donated to the Chilliwack Salvation Army.

The car had been on the auction lot since Feb.
