A pet rabbit named Bunbun kept the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue in Sooke hopping in a rescue mission.
During the recent cold weather, Bunbun was stranded on a sailboat in Cooper’s Cove. The boat was embraced ice, and the owners were unable to reach the location.
“Our primary vessel was heavy enough to break through the thin ice surrounding the boat so we could get Bunbun back to his owner,” said Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue in a Facebook post.
