Teck presented a $1,000 cheque to the Elk River Alliance last week.

The money will go towards the cost of a Streamkeepers kit for a community based water monitoring pilot project in the Lizard Creek starting in April.

The kit includes all of the equipment and supplies for gathering information about water quality, such as testing the pH, dissolved oxygen, pH, temperature, flow and turbidity.
