A mama bear in B.C. is spotted lifting her cub off a highway in the Kootenays


Videographer Ricky Forbes was passing through B.C.'s Kootenay National Park when he noticed a baby bear sitting on the side of the highway, and he decided to snap some footage of the stranded cub.

Instead, he witnessed "the coolest thing" he's ever seen, as the much larger mama bear reached over the highway's cement wall and picked her pup up with its jaw, pulling it to safety.
